Chris Clasen President/Owner |
Chris was 6 years old when Freelance opened its doors in 1980, so one might assume he grew up in this family-owned business. While obtaining a business degree at the University of Miami, he had the opportunity to work at many customer sites during his Christmas and summer vacations. As a result, Chris learned the industry from the ground up. He soon came to realize how critical the staffing industry is to American manufacturing. Upon graduation, Chris worked full time in the retail golf business for two years and part time at Freelance, before joining full time in 1998. In 2002, he purchased the business and took over as president. When Chris is not working hard building Freelance, he is working hard on his golf game carrying a 1 handicap at Indian Hills Golf Club in Stillwater.

Megan Toft Director of Staffing |
Megan got her start in the staffing industry right after high school working on a full time basis for a national service as a Staffing Coordinator. She continued working for them on a part-time basis while attending college. When she returned to the firm on a full-time basis, she became disillusioned with the company and, she thought, the industry. It became apparent there was more emphasis on meeting the needs of the stockholders than meeting the needs of the customer. Having given notice, she decided she would give the staffing industry "another chance", and answered an ad for a receptionist at Freelance. That was 10 years ago and Megan has grown from Receptionist to Director of Staffing. This means she oversees the staffing needs of all Freelance’s existing customers, as well as coordinating and developing the recruitment needs of all new customers. She looks forward to continuing to manage the Roseville office while overseeing the expansion of our new Osseo location.

Carly Schulte Senior Staffing Coordinator |
Having started with Freelance in 2003 as a receptionist, Carly was promoted to Staffing Coordinator in 2004 and then Senior Staffing Coordinator in 2007. She works closely with individual clients, recruiting specifically for their needs, preparing the employee for the specific assignment and customer, plus handling any and all problems that might arise on the job site. Carly brings a great deal of innate ability to the job and is able to manage an extensive amount of off-site personnel. She has been a great asset as she has worked into a management role over the last two years.

Liz Staffing Coordinator |
Liz brought with her 7 years of prior staffing experience when she came on board with Freelance in 2006. In the past 2 years Liz has been Carly’s “go-to” person in meeting our customer and employees every day needs. She feels at home in the light industrial industry, and really enjoys getting to know new employees, their needs and qualifications. She looks forward to becoming more involved in taking care of our customers as she works into a new role in our satellite office in Osseo.
